Construction and materials

NOS INSTALLATIONS

Responsible water management on a daily basis

The environmental impacts related to construction and materials primarily concern the carbon footprint of construction and the use of natural resources. The construction of a building can emit between 400 and 800 kg of CO2 per square meter, depending on the materials used and the construction methods. Furthermore, building maintenance and renovation can also contribute significantly to the overall footprint.

At Parador Vert, we have chosen to prioritize the renovation of existing structures and the use of sustainable materials, in order to limit our footprint while enhancing the character of the place.

Renovation

Instead of constructing new buildings, we opted for the renovation of existing structures.
This approach saves a significant amount of materials and energy that would have been required for new construction. Renovation also helps to preserve architectural heritage.

Use of Sustainable Materials and Local Craftsmen

For construction and renovation, we prioritize materials with a long lifespan. And where possible, we have chosen eco-friendly materials such as hemp bricks.
Hemp bricks are an excellent choice in terms of thermal and acoustic insulation, while also being an environmentally friendly material.
