Our story
A family adventure between ocean, volcanoes and spa towns
The story of these accommodations is above all a human and family adventure, driven by the desire to create comfortable, welcoming accommodations that respect their environment.
Behind these projects are Marc and Géraldine, a couple driven by the desire to offer high-quality accommodations where you can discover a region in the best possible conditions.
Marc spent a large part of his career at Michelin, an environment where high standards, rigor, and the pursuit of excellence are part of everyday life. Géraldine, on the other hand, regularly went on holiday to Arcachon to visit her grandparents. She is deeply attached to the Arcachon Basin and its way of life.
It was naturally on this land that the first stage of the adventure began.
The starting point in Arcachon
The first project was launched in Arcachon with the Villa Madelon.
Located near the train station and the city center, the villa was designed to allow travelers to discover the Arcachon Basin in the best conditions, often on foot or by bike, without systematically depending on the car.
The idea was already present in this first project: to offer comfortable, elegant and well-located accommodation, allowing guests to fully enjoy the area.
Over time, this first experience confirmed the desire to develop other accommodation options, always with the same high standards of quality.
A few years later, Marc and Géraldine discovered a unique place in Auvergne: the Parador Vert, located in Saint-Victor-la-Rivière, between Lake Chambon and Besse-et-Saint-Anastaise.
The site's potential is obvious: a remarkable natural environment, in the heart of the Sancy Massif, surrounded by volcanoes, lakes and preserved landscapes.
Rather than radically transforming the estate, the decision was made to carefully renovate the existing buildings, respecting the spirit of the place. The renovation is part of an approach that seeks to reconcile high-end comfort with respect for the environment.
The goal is to offer 5-star accommodations, while integrating, where possible, more sustainable solutions: improved building insulation, use of sustainable materials during renovations, responsible water and energy management, and landscape integration that respects the site.
This approach is intended to be pragmatic and realistic: each building has its own architectural and technical constraints, but the ambition remains the same — to do our best to reduce the environmental impact while offering a high level of comfort to travelers.
Today, the Parador Vert has become a popular destination for visitors who come to discover the volcanoes of Auvergne, hike in the Sancy region, or enjoy the surrounding nature.
A shared philosophy: comfort, local area and authenticity
As the projects progressed, a single guiding principle emerged.
Each place to stay is designed as a starting point for exploring a region:
the beaches and neighborhoods of Arcachon from Villa Madelon
the volcanoes and trails of the Sancy Massif from the Parador Vert
The goal is to offer accommodations providing a high level of comfort, close to high-end hotel standards, while retaining the warm and independent spirit of a guesthouse.
This requirement is accompanied by a desire to develop accommodations that respect their environment, to the extent that each location offers possibilities.
Each building has its own architectural and heritage constraints; the choices made therefore seek to reconcile comfort, respect for the premises and reduction of the environmental footprint, by favouring solutions adapted to each project.
The adventure continues today with a new project in Vichy, an iconic spa town known for its elegant architecture, parks and art of living.
Soon, Villa Les Résédas will complete this collection of accommodations.
Located in the center of Vichy, the villa will allow you to easily discover the city on foot: the thermal baths, the Napoleon III parks, the banks of the Allier and the historic center.
As with other projects, the ambition will remain the same: to offer comfortable, elegant and well-located accommodation, allowing guests to fully enjoy their stay.
